Delivering a brand new sculpture of the legendary Ayrton Senna to Barcelona

The statue was created by British portrait artist, sculptor and Formula One fanatic, Paul Oz. He was determined to create something unique to mark 25 years since the passing of the Brazilian racing icon.

Speaking to F1i.com, Paul describes the effigy as “160kg of raw bronze in the dynamic of Eau Rouge into Radillon”.

It was a quote from Senna regarding that famous corner in Belgium that inspired the posture now made eternal by Paul’s sculpture.

“If you take away Eau Rouge, you take away the reason why I do this”, Ayrton said in 1993.

This is a truly iconic section of track, and one that Paul has marked in a unique manner.
